Merlin and Nyuu's Castle

You can probably see a bit of a theme happening here - Castles, Dragons and Wizards. They have all been a mystical whimsy of mine.

1st Grandsons Quilt

I have sewn a patchwork Pooh and Friends Cot/Bassinette Quilt for the arrival of my first Grandson, its not quite finished yet as I am waiting for his birth and for him to be named to be able to sew his chosen name on the top of the quilt.

Merlin

This is my favourite Cloth Doll - Merlin, his Cape was made from a Velvet Dress I found in an Op shop, it was perfect for for the cape, once it had been cut and sewn together again . I really enjoyed seeing him come to life.

Hi, my name is Brenda Holding, I am a part-time working mother with 2 grown up Sons, 1 Stepson and very soon about to become a grandmother for the first time to a Grandson. I have a passion for sewing and have started an alteration business from home, for the times when I am not working at my real job!! I have recently made a patchwork Cot/Bassinette Quilt for my Grandson (of which is displayed) and have posted pictures of some of my past projects as well. I have spent most of my life sewing, whether it be clothing, quilting or making cloth dolls and will be forever grateful to my mother for teaching me the basic's on how to sew as I have always enjoyed it.
