Hi, my name is Brenda Holding, I am a part-time working mother with 2 grown up Sons, 1 Stepson and very soon about to become a grandmother for the first time to a Grandson. I have a passion for sewing and have started an alteration business from home, for the times when I am not working at my real job!! I have recently made a patchwork Cot/Bassinette Quilt for my Grandson (of which is displayed) and have posted pictures of some of my past projects as well. I have spent most of my life sewing, whether it be clothing, quilting or making cloth dolls and will be forever grateful to my mother for teaching me the basic's on how to sew as I have always enjoyed it.

- I work Part-time but am an avid sewer...when I get the time and the inclination to do so, whether it be sewing clothes, quilting or making cloth dolls, I thank my mother for teaching me this skill, if it wasnt for her patience I wouldn't be able to sew today, or be confident enough to start up my home alteration business. I am married for the second time now to a wonderful, caring and sometimes frustrating man and now have 2 Adult Sons, 1 Stepson and a Grandson on the way. I cant wait to hold a baby in my arms again. I enjoy looking in op shops and especially secondhand stores, mainly just to search out items of yesteryear that my mother/grandmother used to own/use, Its a buz seeing things you remember from your childhood. I love catching fish whether it be, in a river, a dam, out at sea, on our boat, or from the beach with my Husband, I thank my father for installing this love of fishing in me. Both my parents are gone now but will live forever in my heart. I can't wait for the day I can ride a Horse again, preferably my own. Basically, I cant stay still for very long, I have to be doing something.
